Cosmetic laser treatment of skin

Laser skin rejuvenation is a new method specially designed to enable the specialist physician to remove superficial layers of skin in a safe and smooth way that permit accurate control of depth and level of treatment. This accuracy cannot be achieved by traditional methods such as chemical peel and mechanical dermabrasion.

Our center uses Erbium Laser machine, which is gentle on skin and remove thin layers no more than few microns in depth with each laser pulse, so the treating physician can remove layers of skin that fit each particular area of the skin in order to achieve the desired goal of treatment.

Erbium Laser have the advantage that it does not cause coagulation of blood vessels, therefore the skin heals in few days to one week after treatment. At the end of healing period, some redness of skin will persist for 10 to 30 days depending on skin type. It can be hidden by make up.

Treatment at our center is performed under local anesthetic using anesthetic creams on the area to be treated, However injection of local anesthetic and even IV sedative may he needed.

No treatment needs to be done under general anesthetic, and patients are discharged soon after the end of treatment.

Erbium laser is indicated for treatment of many conditions such as:

• Superficial and intermediate wrinkles of face (especially around eyes and mouth)
• Skin pigmentation due to expose to the sun.
• Superficial nevi.
• Pigmented keratins.
